با همکاری شرکت TOTAL، شرکت DrillScanنرم افزار منحصر به فردی جهت ارائه تصمیمات تخصصی حفاری ارائه داده است. این نرم افزار شامل ماژول های بسیار متنوع برای طراحی BHA, Casing Design, Well Planing, Sag Managment و... سایر بخشهای مهندسی حفاری می باشد. ماژول معروف و قدرتمند BHA Management جهت ارزیابی سه بعدی پاسخ حفاری جهت دار در تمامی سیستم های حفاری را نشان می دهد. این بخش رابطه بین BHAو طراحی مته جهت پیش بینی منحنی equilibriumرا در سیستم های مختلف حفاری در وضعیت های مختلف را مشخص می کند.

The BHA Pre-Analysis module is a powerful and very accessible tool, evaluating 3D directional response (build/drop rate, turn rate) of any drilling system (rotary, RSS, motor …) in any type of trajectory. It fully integrates rock, BHA, and bit coupled interactions. It can also be associated to the PDC Bit Model module, to specifically account for each bit profile
This module provides a complete analysis of the directional behavior of any proposed BHA to compare its directional abilities to the objectives within the planned wellpath. Based on an initial proposal, it also helps to propose design optimization when necessary

Multiple PhD theses are at the origin of the PDC Bit Model. Extensive expertise and diverse bench & field tests have validated the model. Sensitive to rock hardness (UCS) and friction factor, the PDC Bit Model is very detailed
Our model is based on extensive experimental validation conducted at the MINES ParisTech facilities in Pau - France
This module helps in the bit choice, a key factor in the directional response of any drilling system. It evaluates the steerability and walking tendency of any PDC bit which are the parameters commonly used by the bit manufacturers. Using BHA Management modules (such as BHA Pre-Analysis and BHA Post-Analysis modules) coupled with the PDC Bit Model module will enhance simulation accuracy

The Casing Design module enable to select and specify the number of casing strings required to complete the well. In its simplest form, each casing string needs only an outer and inner diameter, a shoe depth and material grade however the coupling between each element of the casing phase must also be analyzed
The appropriate selection of casing prevents collapse of the borehole during drilling as well as hydraulically isolating the wellbore fluids from the subsurface formations and formation fluids
