نرم افزار RMSیکی از قدیمی ترین نرم افزارهای مدل سازی زمین شناسی برای زمین شناسان به حساب می آید. این نرم افزار در درجه اول برای استفاده در صنعت نفت طراحی شده است ولی در سایر شاخه های زمین شناسی نیز کاربرد دارد. این نرم افزار با دریافت اطلاعات گوناگون زمین شناسی، پتروفیزیک، ژئوفیزیک، مخزن و غیره مدل های زمین شناسی را با دقت بالا تولید خواهد کرد. این نرم افزار با اینکه دارای ماژول ها و کاربردهای گوناگون و قوی در زمینه ساخت مدل است، ولی در سالهای اخیر مقداری از بازار خود را به نرم افزار  Petrelواگذار کرده است. در نسخه جدید که محصول سال 2017-2016می باشد بخش  ROXAR APIافزوده شده است که شما را قادر خواهد ساخت هرتغییری که لازم داشتید در نرم افزار ایجاد کنید!!

بررسی نرم افزار RMS 10.0:

Emerson Automation Solutions has released Roxar RMS 10, the latest version of its reservoir characterization and modeling software. Through a host of new features and greater workflow integration to support the Big Loop solution, RMS 10 provides improvements to the seismic to simulation workflow; new decision-support tools for improved reservoir management; and increased user performance and productivity

Seismic interpretation has been improved with a new Trace Viewer and enhancements to the snap to seismic technology, further supporting geological risk quantification early in the process. Structural and property modeling have also been improved with a more flexible stratigraphic framework, improved horizon modeling algorithms and a better isochore quality framework. Enhancements to the capabilities for building and maintaining flow simulation models have also been made

RMS 10 also provides greater workflow integration to support the Big Loop solution and has versatile reporting tools. This includes improved support for the building of complete flow simulation models; greater integration across different domains; automated, repeatable and traceable well modeling to keep models up to date; and the automated creation of well targets
This version of the software will also provide productivity and performance improvements with increased interoperability and workflow customization; new functionalities for visualizing data; and enhanced well management through its data explorer tool
