نرم افزار Well PERFORMance Analysis یا PERFORM محصول IHS یک نرم افزار بروز برای تجزیه و تحلیل تولید / تزریق تک فازی نفت / گاز، چاه های خشکی / دریایی است. در این نرم افزار هر یک از اجزای چاه با استفاده از معادلات، همبستگی یا مدل های مکانیکی برای تعیین افت فشار به عنوان تابع سرعت جریان مدل سازی می شود. این برنامه بر اساس تکنیک های تحلیل گره ای (nodal analysis) است که می تواند تولید را از طریق درک بهتر پتانسیل مخزن و طراحی و عملیات بهینه افزایش دهد. PERFORM می تواند برای بسیاری از وظایف مختلف در چاه های جدید و موجود استفاده شود.

"Well PERFORMance Analysis" or PERFORM is a graphical tool used for the analysis of single production/injection, oil/gas, onshore/offshore wells. Each of the well components is modeled using equations, correlations or mechanistic models to determine the pressure loss as a function of flow rate. The program is based on nodal analysis techniques that can increase production through an improved understanding of a reservoir's potential and an optimized well design and operation. PERFORM can be used for a lot of different tasks in both new and existing wells.

For new wells, some of the applications include:

-Sizing of tubing and flowlines
-Sizing of coiled tubing and restrictions
-Designing offshore wells and flowlines
-Design of completions (perforations, gravel pack)
-Design of multilateral completions
-Modeling injection of water and gas
-Selection of separator pressure or compressor/pump horsepower

For existing wells, PERFORM can be used to:

-Improve well performance
-Evaluate future changes (water cut, GLR, declining reservoir pressure)
-Estimate unknown reservoir parameters
-Optimize gas lift operations
-Evaluate stimulation effectiveness
-Flow assurance (hydrates and scales)
-Estimate total skin factor
-Fluid heat transfer
-Acid treatment
-Model calibration with production data
-Information about PVT data, flow patterns, production per layers, etc.
-Answer "what-if" questions related to work over results.

With PERFORM you can carry out the following types of analyses:

-System analysis
-Gradient analysis
-Gas Lift analysis
